About PixShed

PixShed is a free collection of image tools that run entirely inside your web browser. Compress a photo, convert between JPG, PNG, and WebP, resize or crop for a specific platform, or strip out a background — all without creating an account and without sending your files anywhere.

How it actually works

Most image tools online follow the same pattern: you upload a file, a remote server does the work, and the result is sent back to you. PixShed skips the upload step completely. When you pick an image, it stays in your browser's memory, gets processed on your own machine, and the finished file is handed straight back to you for download. Nothing is transmitted, stored, or logged on our end.

You don't have to take our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run any tool on the site. You'll see the page load once — and then no outbound requests carrying your image data while you work. That local-first approach also means the tools stay fast and keep working even on a spotty connection.

Who it's for

Anyone who needs to fix an image quickly and doesn't want to hand a private photo to an unknown server. That includes people shrinking pictures to meet an upload size limit, converting screenshots for a document, prepping product shots for a listing, or cleaning up an ID or receipt where privacy genuinely matters. Every tool is free, unmetered, and open to use as often as you like — no daily caps, trials, or locked "premium" features.

Who runs PixShed

PixShed is operated by Express Services Group, based in Fresno, California. Running the site costs money, so we keep it free by displaying unobtrusive advertising alongside the tools — there is no paid tier and we never charge for access.
